Fall Out Boy - Love From The Other Side

This piece is a visual tribute to Fall Out Boy’s lead single “Love From The Other Side,” from their So Much (For) Stardust album. Rendered in the style of American Traditional tattoo art, the design weaves together lyrical references, visual metaphors, and nods to the band’s Chicago roots.

At its core, the image of a skeleton hand stabbing a human hand brings to life the line “Every lover’s got a little dagger in their hand,” capturing the pain of love’s aftermath. A blue-toned Chicago skyline anchors the design in the band’s hometown, echoing the lyric “This city always hangs a little bit lonely on me.” Above it all, an oversized sun—emblazoned with the band’s new half-smiley logo—symbolizes the enduring presence of lost love, drawn from the lyric “You were the sunshine of my lifetime.” Though bright, the sun casts a melancholic shadow, encapsulating the song’s bittersweet tone in a single image.
